Apollo Tyres Ltd has recently announced that the BMW Group has selected Vredestein tyres to be the original equipment for the new MINI Cooper models across Europe. This agreement encompasses a range of tyre types, including summer, all-season, and winter options, specifically for the Cabrio, three-door, and five-door variants of the MINI Cooper.

The Vredestein tyres chosen for this partnership include the Vredestein Ultrac for summer driving, the Quatrac Pro for versatile all-season use, and the Wintrac Pro for optimal winter performance. These tyres will be produced in Europe and will be supplied directly to the BMW Group’s MINI manufacturing facility located in Oxford, UK.

This new arrangement builds upon prior collaborations between Apollo Tyres Ltd and BMW Group, which had previously included the provision of Vredestein Ultrac tyres for several other BMW models, such as the X1, X2, 5 Series, and 2 Series Active Tourer. Furthermore, these tyres will be available for purchase in the replacement market through BMW Group’s network of franchised dealers, ensuring that MINI customers have continued access to high-quality tyres throughout their vehicle’s lifespan.

Benoit Rivallant, Chief Commercial Officer at Apollo Tyres Ltd, highlighted that this new agreement underscores the company’s commitment to developing tyres with a broad range of capabilities that align with the priorities of the BMW Group.

Each of the Vredestein tyres selected for this partnership boasts distinct performance features: the Ultrac tyre excels in wet grip conditions, the Wintrac Pro is engineered specifically for winter driving, and the Quatrac Pro is an all-season tyre tailored for high-performance vehicles. These tyres have earned various certifications and high ratings, including those from the EU tyre label and independent test accolades from respected European publications.
