Andreas Böhm Takes the Reins as Managing Director of Vollmer

On April 1st, 2024, Andreas Böhm assumed the role of Managing Director at Vollmer, the renowned sharpening specialist headquartered in Biberach. He succeeds Dr. Stefan Brand and Jürgen Hauger, bringing with him a wealth of international experience in mechanical engineering garnered from over 25 years at the esteemed Liebherr Group, where he served as a member of the Board of Directors for over a decade.

In his new capacity, Böhm aims to leverage his extensive background in mechanical engineering and familiarity with the Swabian mentality to propel Vollmer further as a global and innovative partner to the tool industry. Reflecting on his appointment, Böhm stated, “Throughout my work at Liebherr, I am not only familiar with mechanical engineering, but also with the Swabian mentality. I would like to contribute my international experience to further advance Vollmer as a global and innovative partner to the tool industry.”

Böhm’s tenure at Liebherr saw him occupy various leadership roles across China, Ireland, and Germany before assuming a position on the Board of Directors of the Group’s holding company in Switzerland from 2011 to 2022. Now, at Vollmer, he takes the helm from Dr. Stefan Brand and Jürgen Hauger, with a commitment to maintaining the company’s familial traditions while navigating current international challenges.

The Vollmer Group, with a history spanning 115 years, is renowned for its leading technology and service offerings, serving as an innovative partner to the tool industry.
