AMS, a global workforce solutions company, has launched GCC Flex, a structured hiring operating framework designed specifically for Global Capability Centers (GCCs) operating in India. The solution aims to help organizations manage rapid workforce expansion while improving hiring predictability, speed, and governance as global enterprises continue to scale their capability centers across the country.
India has emerged as a strategic destination for GCC investments, with cities such as Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Pune attracting a growing number of multinational organizations establishing technology, analytics, and innovation hubs. Industry estimates indicate that more than 100 mid-sized GCCs are expected to be set up each year. As a result, talent acquisition is no longer treated as a purely administrative function but has become a central factor influencing operational growth and long-term capability development.
The demand for specialized talent in fields such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and risk management has intensified competition across the market. Many organizations are now recognizing the limitations of traditional recruitment models that rely heavily on multiple external agencies. These fragmented approaches often create inconsistent hiring experiences, longer recruitment cycles, and limited oversight of talent pipelines.
GCC Flex has been designed to address these structural challenges by offering a comprehensive recruitment operating model. The framework combines consulting expertise, dedicated hiring teams, and AI-driven workflow management through the AMS One platform. Together, these components provide organizations with a unified system to plan, manage, and execute large-scale hiring programs while maintaining consistent performance metrics.
According to Roop Kaistha, Regional Managing Director for APAC at AMS, the role of GCCs in global business strategies has evolved significantly in recent years. “India’s capability centers are no longer limited to support functions; they are increasingly responsible for product development, analytics, and innovation initiatives that directly influence global business outcomes,” he said. “In this environment, organizations require structured hiring mechanisms supported by strong governance and measurable outcomes. GCC Flex offers leadership teams the ability to build talent pipelines with greater clarity, efficiency, and scalability.”
Recruitment pressures in the GCC ecosystem continue to intensify as organizations expand their mandates. Bengaluru remains the country’s largest GCC talent hub and commands compensation premiums of approximately 8–10 percent above broader industry benchmarks. Hyderabad has also seen strong growth momentum, with GCC hiring demand increasing by more than 40 percent year-on-year and salaries rising between six and eight percent in response to growing competition for skilled professionals.
As expansion spreads to cities such as Pune and other emerging talent markets, companies must carefully manage location strategies and recruitment speed to sustain growth. However, many GCCs still face operational hurdles including extended interview timelines, inconsistent benchmarking of roles and compensation, and limited visibility into recruitment performance. These inefficiencies can result in candidate drop-offs and higher early-tenure attrition.
GCC Flex introduces a modular hiring structure designed to adapt to different stages of GCC maturity. Newly established or “greenfield” centers can use the model to launch hiring operations quickly without major upfront investment in recruitment infrastructure. Mid-sized GCCs can scale through specialist hiring pods aligned to functional areas such as technology, analytics, risk, shared services, and innovation. For mature capability centers, the system supports workforce planning and skills-adjacency strategies that help reduce replacement hiring and strengthen long-term talent pipelines.
The operating framework is designed to improve recruitment efficiency significantly. AMS estimates that the model can reduce hiring cycle times by at least 30 percent, enabling organizations to fill critical roles in under 30 days. Structured interview governance and faster offer timelines—typically within 48 to 72 hours—also aim to increase candidate conversion rates and maintain offer acceptance levels above 85 percent.
By integrating data analytics and pre-built talent communities into the recruitment process, GCC Flex also provides leadership teams with deeper insights into hiring performance and workforce trends. AMS currently supports more than 35,000 hires annually across global markets, including strong engagement in early-career and campus recruitment programs.
With India continuing to strengthen its position as a global hub for innovation and digital talent, AMS believes GCC Flex will play a key role in helping organizations build stable and scalable talent ecosystems that support long-term business growth.
