AMPIN Energy Transition has announced a second partnership with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) to develop approximately 2 gigawatt peak (GWp) of renewable energy projects in India. This initiative involves a fresh investment exceeding $300 million, expected to build a renewable energy asset portfolio valued at around $1.5 billion.
This new collaboration builds on the existing partnership established in 2021, which initially aimed at $200 million in joint equity investments. The first partnership has since been expanded with an additional $100 million, enabling a portfolio growth from 1.7 GWp to approximately 2.4 GWp, creating assets worth $1.2–1.5 billion.
Focus on Diverse Renewable Technologies
The new partnership targets a portfolio of around 2 GWp, encompassing solar, wind, hybrid, and storage technologies. The focus will remain on large-scale, grid-connected renewable energy projects across India, contributing to the nation’s clean energy transition.
