Ammann India has manufactured its first ABG 5420 tracked paver (Tier 3) at the company’s Ditasan facility in Gujarat, marking the integration of the ABG paver business into its operations. The rollout took place on August 7, 2025, and was led by Bernd Holz, Executive Vice President – ABG General Management, and Dheeraj Panda, Managing Director, Ammann India, along with senior management at the Mehsana plant.
The Tier 3-compliant paver is designed for both domestic and export markets, including Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. It addresses demand for fuel-efficient, low-emission, and technologically advanced road construction machinery, driven by infrastructure initiatives such as Bharatmala, PM Gati Shakti, and the Smart Cities Mission. The facility will serve as a production and export hub for ABG pavers, catering to clients across multiple regions.
In addition to the paver launch, Ammann India opened a dedicated ABG warehouse at the Ditasan site, covering over 10,000 square feet with an additional 2,000+ square feet for material staging. The warehouse features advanced material handling systems capable of supporting up to 1,200 kg per shelf and an eight-level racking system accommodating approximately 1,800 SKUs.
This facility is intended to improve parts availability, streamline material flow, reduce delivery times, and enhance service response for ABG products, with capacity for future expansion. Managing Director Dheeraj Panda said these developments will strengthen localization, operational efficiency, and customer support, positioning the site as a key manufacturing and export base.
