Ammann India has announced the successful deployment of its ELBA CC150 concrete batching plants for the upgrade of the Nashik–Niphad–Yeola–Vaijapur–Aurangabad Road (MSH-2), a 56 km highway corridor in Maharashtra. The project, undertaken under EPC-59 for the Public Works Department (PWD), involves widening an existing two-lane stretch into a four-lane roadway while transitioning from bituminous to rigid concrete pavement.

Valued at approximately INR 560 crore, the project is being executed by GHV India Pvt. Ltd. in joint venture with SB Deshmukh and Forcon Infra Pvt Ltd. The ELBA CC150 plants were supplied by Ammann India and installed on-site by Nashik-based Bramghiri Infra LLP.

Two ELBA CC150 batching plants formed the backbone of the project’s concrete production. Commissioned on July 3, 2025, each plant delivered a capacity of 130 cubic metres per hour and collectively produced around 1,65,000 cubic metres of concrete. This included Dry Lean Concrete (DLC), Pavement Quality Concrete (PQC), and structural grades ranging from M10 to M30, ensuring consistency across all construction phases.

The project highlighted the importance of high-capacity batching solutions in brownfield developments, where constraints such as limited space, ongoing traffic, and phased execution demand uninterrupted and precise operations. The ELBA CC150 plants enabled continuous production cycles, accurate material proportioning, and uniform mix quality—critical for long-lasting concrete pavements delivered within strict timelines.

The plant configuration featured dedicated storage sections for aggregates of varying sizes, along with high-capacity silos for cement and Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBS). Automated material handling systems ensured smooth flow and minimized operational delays, supporting efficient and consistent output throughout the project lifecycle. The use of GGBS, approved by PWD, further enhanced sustainability by improving durability and reducing environmental impact during production.

Commenting on the milestone, Dheeraj Panda, Managing Director, Ammann India, said the project reflects the growing emphasis on durable concrete road infrastructure in India, adding that reliable, high-volume concrete production has been central to timely execution and performance outcomes.

The upgraded corridor is expected to significantly reduce travel time between Nashik, Yeola, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, while strengthening connectivity between the Marathwada and Vidarbha regions. This improved link is anticipated to enhance logistics efficiency and support regional economic growth.
