In a major step for India’s food processing sector, Falcon Agrifriz Foods Private Limited has launched its cutting-edge frozen potato production plant in Kadi, Mehsana, Gujarat. The plant was officially inaugurated by the Hon’ble Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, alongside other distinguished guests, including Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, Minister of Industries Balvantsinh Rajput, Member of Parliament Mayankbhai Nayak, Member of Parliament Haribhai Patel, and Chairman of Falcon Group, Tara Ranjan Patnaik. The facility marks a key achievement in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Falcon Group and the Government of Gujarat, with an investment of ₹1,050 crore aimed at transforming Gujarat into a global hub for frozen potato products.
For over 40 years, the Falcon Group has been a symbol of growth, anchored in values of quality, trust, and innovation. With ventures spanning animal nutrition, marine exports, real estate, and more, Falcon’s diverse portfolio is united by a common purpose: creating lasting value. Falcon Agrifriz carries this legacy into the frozen food sector with a vision to position India as a leader in global convenience food exports.
As the frozen food market continues to expand worldwide, Falcon is leveraging India’s agricultural strength to build a strong presence in processed potato exports. From farm to table, Falcon ensures consistent, high-quality produce through a dedicated seed program. The seeds, cultivated in regions like Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh, are grown under expert supervision before being transported to Gujarat for large-scale farming through Falcon’s network of over 4,000 contract farmers.
Once harvested, the potatoes are swiftly moved to high-tech cold storage facilities, ensuring freshness and availability throughout the year. Spanning 25 acres, the Mehsana plant features India’s largest French fries production line, capable of processing 15 metric tons per hour, along with a specialty potato line producing 3.5 metric tons per hour. Built in less than two years, the facility is among the most advanced and environmentally conscious food processing plants in India, offering 100% automation.
Tara Ranjan Patnaik, Chairman of Falcon Group, shared insights on the company’s philosophy, saying, “Gujarat has always been central to India’s agricultural strength. With its abundant potato production, resilient farming community, and business-friendly environment, it was a natural choice for our flagship facility. This plant is not just about production—it represents our commitment to sustainable, future-forward growth. We aim to operate efficiently, sustainably, and to the highest global standards. Our vision is to make Falcon a global leader in food processing by expanding into new markets and driving continuous innovation.”
Parthajeet Patnaik, Vice-Chairman of Falcon Group, emphasized the significance of the plant, stating, “Falcon’s journey has always been about unlocking potential across sectors and regions. This facility is a crucial step toward making India a global leader in food processing. By combining the strength of our farmers with cutting-edge technology, we are setting the stage for a legacy of leadership—one that is responsible, innovative, and purpose-driven.”
Manish Tibrewal, Director & CEO of Falcon Agrifriz, highlighted the plant’s strategic importance, saying, “This facility goes beyond infrastructure; it represents a significant leap for India’s food processing capabilities. Our end-to-end seed program, combined with world-class automation, ensures the highest standards of quality from farm to fork. We’re redefining what India can offer the world, and this is just the beginning of our journey to put India at the center of global food processing.”
Falcon Agrifriz’s brands, including Just Crave, Bon Vegato, Frizeto, and Just Fries, are already gaining international attention at trade shows such as Gulfood, AAHAR, and SIAL.
