AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) has announced a significant achievement, with its upcoming next-generation AMD EPYC™ processor, codenamed “Venice,” becoming the first high-performance computing (HPC) product to be developed and tested on TSMC’s advanced 2nm (N2) process technology. This milestone underscores the strength of AMD’s ongoing partnership with TSMC, aimed at optimizing cutting-edge designs using state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing technologies.
The “Venice” processor is on track for release next year, marking a pivotal moment in AMD’s data center CPU roadmap. Additionally, AMD confirmed the successful validation of its 5th Gen AMD EPYC™ CPU products at TSMC’s newly established fabrication facility in Arizona, further reinforcing its dedication to supporting U.S. manufacturing.
