IL JIN Electronics India Pvt Ltd. a key subsidiary of Amber Group, has signed definitive agreements to acquire a controlling interest in Unitronics (1989) (R”G) Ltd, an Israel-based company known for its advanced industrial automation solutions. This strategic acquisition marks a significant step for Amber Group as it expands its reach into the global industrial electronics space.
Unitronics designs, develops, manufactures, and markets a comprehensive range of automation products including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), integrated PLC-HMI systems, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Servo Drives, Industrial IoT (IIoT) platforms, and cloud-based SaaS offerings like UniCloud. These products are supported by all-in-one software solutions, enabling real-time control and process management across a wide spectrum of industries.
With a strong global footprint, Unitronics generates nearly 95% of its revenue from international markets — approximately 55% from the United States and 40% from Europe. The collaboration will allow Unitronics to leverage IL JIN’s electronics manufacturing expertise and widespread presence across India, thereby unlocking operational synergies, accelerating product innovation, and deepening its reach in India’s fast-growing automation market.
The acquisition supports Amber Group’s strategy to diversify its electronics portfolio beyond consumer-facing segments and into industrial applications. Through this partnership, Amber aims to drive localization of manufacturing, reduce dependency on imports, and access global growth opportunities in Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing technologies.
Jasbir Singh, Executive Chairman and CEO of Amber Group, stated, “This acquisition significantly enhances Amber’s position in the field of industrial automation. It opens new doors for our Electronics Division to enter high-growth segments such as smart factories, real-time data systems, and intelligent control technologies. The integration will bring long-term value and help us expand into new markets.”
Haim Shani, Joint Chairman of Unitronics, added, “Our partnership with Amber marks a new chapter for Unitronics. Together, we will harness each other’s strengths to scale operations, strengthen our presence in key regions, and deliver greater value to our customers and partners. I look forward to working closely with the Amber team as we drive the next phase of growth.”
