Amber Enterprises India Ltd has announced a joint venture (JV) with Korea Circuit Co Ltd to bring advanced printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing capabilities to India. The 50:50 JV, named Amber Korea Circuit Pvt Ltd, will focus on designing, manufacturing, and supplying PCBs for various industries, including automotive, industrial, medical, and consumer electronics.

Anirudh Dhawan, Chairman and Managing Director, Amber Enterprises, said, “This partnership will enable us to offer cutting-edge PCB solutions to our customers, leveraging Korea Circuit’s expertise and technology.”

Korea Circuit, a leading PCB manufacturer, brings its advanced manufacturing capabilities and technology to the JV. Amber Enterprises, with its strong presence in India, will provide market access and local expertise.

The JV plans to set up a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in India, with an initial investment of ₹200 crore. The facility will create employment opportunities for over 1,000 people and generate significant revenue for the company.

“This partnership is a significant step towards making India a global hub for PCB manufacturing,” said Dhawan. “We aim to cater to the growing demand for high-quality PCBs in India and export to global markets.”

The Indian government’s push for electronics manufacturing and the “Make in India” initiative have created a favorable environment for the JV. Amber Korea Circuit will target the fast-growing PCB market in India, driven by increasing demand from industries such as automotive, renewable energy, and consumer electronics.

“India offers tremendous growth opportunities for PCB manufacturing, and our JV is well-positioned to capitalize on this demand,” said Joon-Soo Kim, President and CEO, Korea Circuit. The JV is expected to commence operations in the next 12-18 months and achieve revenue of ₹1,000 crore within the next three years.

Amber Enterprises’ shares rose 2% to ₹244.90 on the BSE, following the announcement of the JV. Analysts view the partnership as a strategic move, enabling Amber Enterprises to diversify its product offerings and strengthen its presence in the electronics manufacturing space.

“Amber Enterprises’ JV with Korea Circuit will enhance its capabilities in PCB manufacturing and open up new growth avenues,” said Rohan Shah, research analyst at Sharekhan. With its strong partnership and advanced manufacturing capabilities, Amber Korea Circuit is poised to become a leading player in India’s PCB manufacturing industry.
