The Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance (JIPM) bestowed the TPM Excellence Award upon an Industrial Battery manufacturing unit and the Excellence in Consistent TPM Commitment Award upon the Automotive Battery unit of ARE&M. These accolades serve as a testament to Amara Raja’s unwavering vision, dedication, and endeavors in pioneering manufacturing excellence and quality in the industry.
The awards were presented to C Narasimhulu Naidu, Chief Operations Officer, ARE&M, and other distinguished company officials during the event held in Kyoto, Japan. JIPM confers these awards to applicants worldwide who excel in implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to enhance plant efficiency.
The TPM Excellence Award recognizes companies that demonstrate exceptional quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness while ensuring the utmost safety, utilizing JIPM’s 8-pillar approach. TPM primarily aims at eradicating all forms of production losses, emphasizing a holistic approach encompassing both machinery and personnel. This year’s competition witnessed the participation of companies from 16 countries, highlighting the global impact and recognition of excellence achieved by ARE&M.
With the implementation of various improvement initiatives and the dedication of all employees, different units within Amara Raja have achieved the highest level of productivity while adhering to safety protocols. C Narasimhulu Naidu, the COO of ARE&M, stated, “Receiving this award is a testament to our vision and commitment to delivering world-class quality and safety.”
