Alstom Announces Leadership Restructuring Effective June 2025

Alstom, a global leader in intelligent and sustainable mobility solutions, has announced changes to its executive leadership, effective 1 June 2025. These appointments are part of the company’s ongoing organizational strategy aimed at aligning leadership with evolving business priorities and enhancing regional performance.

Andrew DeLeone has been appointed President of the Europe Region, succeeding Gian Luca Erbacci, who is retiring after a distinguished career with the company. Additionally, Martin Vaujour has been named President of the AMECA Region (Africa, Middle East, and Central Asia) and will also join Alstom’s Executive Committee.

Henri Poupart-Lafarge, Chief Executive Officer of Alstom, acknowledged the leadership transition by highlighting the contributions of each executive. He noted that Mr. DeLeone’s extensive experience and results-driven leadership in the AMECA region will serve the Europe region well. He also welcomed Mr. Vaujour to the Executive Committee, citing his strong record in general management, stakeholder relations, and finance as assets in leading a key growth region.

Poupart-Lafarge also paid tribute to Gian Luca Erbacci, recognizing his leadership since joining Alstom in 1998 and his influence across several pivotal roles. His retirement marks the conclusion of a distinguished career at the company.

Andrew DeLeone currently serves as President of the AMECA region, a role he has held since January 2021. Prior to joining Alstom, he was President of Europe, Middle East, Africa & India at Bombardier Transportation. His earlier experience includes multiple leadership roles at General Electric’s Power business, where he focused on complex project execution, financial performance improvement, and expansion of services. Mr. DeLeone has lived and worked in India, Switzerland, South Africa, and the United States. He holds a degree in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations from Cornell University.

Martin Vaujour joined Alstom in 2009 and has held leadership roles in Moscow and Paris. He has been Head of Mergers & Acquisitions and Investor Relations since 2021, following his work managing the Bombardier acquisition process. He previously served as CEO of TMH-International, where he was responsible for business development in Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia. Mr. Vaujour began his career at Arthur Andersen (later Ernst & Young) in 1999, focusing on industrial and civil engineering sectors. He is a graduate of ESCP Business School in Paris.
