Alstom and Akiem Sign Service Contracts for Traxx Locomotive Spare Parts and On-Board Signalling Systems

Alstom, a global leader in sustainable and smart transportation solutions, and Akiem, a European rail vehicle leasing company, have finalized two agreements to enhance the maintenance and support of Traxx locomotives. The first agreement is a Material Supply Contract for the delivery of spare parts for 116 locomotives in Akiem’s fleet. This five-year deal involves providing around 200 different spare parts each year. The specific parts and quantities will be reviewed and adjusted periodically by both parties.

The second contract focuses on the support and maintenance of the on-board signalling systems installed on Akiem’s Traxx locomotives, which are manufactured by Alstom. The services included in this contract cover remote assistance, on-site repairs, and the temporary replacement of faulty components.

These agreements mark the expansion of the collaboration between Alstom and Akiem in the services sector.
