Allegro MicroSystems, a US-based leader in magnetic sensing and power IC solutions, has officially opened its advanced Research & Development (R&D) facility in Hyderabad. This new center aims to boost the company’s global innovation efforts and contribute to India’s growing semiconductor ecosystem.
During the inauguration, Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister, D. Sridhar Babu, reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to supporting the company’s growth by providing essential infrastructure and resources. “Our goal is to foster a self-sustaining semiconductor ecosystem, and we are excited to welcome global leaders like Allegro as key partners in this transformative journey,” said Sridhar Babu.
VineetNargolwala, CEO of Allegro MicroSystems, emphasized the strategic importance of the new facility, noting that Hyderabad’s skilled talent pool, favorable government policies, and central location make it an ideal base for the company’s expansion.
The R&D center has already hired nearly 100 highly skilled professionals, with plans to expand the workforce to 500 in the coming years.
