On Thursday, Allcargo Group announced the appointment of Punit Misra to the newly created role of President, Chairman’s Office, and Chief Business Officer. In this key leadership position, Mr Misra will collaborate directly with the Group’s founder and Chairman, Shashi Kiran Shetty, focusing on strengthening institutional frameworks and steering the company toward sustained, long-term growth that benefits all stakeholders.
Based in Mumbai, Mr Misra will report directly to Mr Shetty and work alongside the company’s senior leadership team to guide strategic priorities, foster value creation, and offer a wide-ranging perspective on business decisions. Mr Shetty remarked, “Punit’s extensive background in leading growth initiatives and shaping strategic direction within top-tier corporations brings invaluable insight to our executive team. Bringing over 30 years of leadership experience primarily in media, entertainment, and consumer goods sectors, Mr Misra’s career spans prominent roles at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL). His previous positions included CEO of India Broadcast Business, President of Content for Broadcast and Zee5 Digital platforms, and President of International Business. Before ZEEL, he held significant leadership roles at Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), where he contributed to brand and category management and was a member of the management committee as Executive Director and Vice President of Customer Development for India and South Asia.
