Akash Systems, a leader in diamond-based semiconductors, has finalized a $27 million (approximately ₹225 crore) contract with NxtGen Datacenter and Cloud Technologies to deliver cutting-edge AI compute solutions. NxtGen, India’s leading sovereign cloud provider, has partnered with Akash to deploy its advanced Diamond Cooled servers across NxtGen’s data centers nationwide.
This collaboration will enable NxtGen to become a global leader in energy-efficient AI compute solutions, leveraging NVIDIA and AMD GPUs cooled by Akash’s cutting-edge Diamond Cooled technology. These servers will enhance NxtGen’s commitment to delivering sustainable, high-performance AI compute services to businesses of all sizes throughout India.
NxtGen CEO and MD, A S Rajgopal, highlighted the collaboration’s transformative potential: “By integrating Akash’s Diamond Cooling with waterless liquid cooling and advanced NVIDIA and AMD GPUs, we are achieving double the performance per watt. This reduces AI compute service costs by over 50%, setting a new standard for sustainable AI.”

Originating from satellite applications in space, where air is absent, Diamond Cooling reduces GPU hotspot temperatures by 10°-20°C, even for servers with existing liquid cooling setups. This innovation ensures maximum energy efficiency, reduced thermal throttling, and optimized compute cycles for demanding AI workloads.
