At the European Rotors event, Airtelis announced a new framework agreement with Airbus Helicopters to acquire up to five H145 helicopters, with a firm order placed for one. These helicopters will support offshore wind operations through Airtelis’ subsidiary Oya Vendée Hélicoptères.

Laurent Giolitti, Executive President of Airtelis, highlighted the H145’s value in offshore wind work, noting its success in building the Yeu Noirmoutier offshore platform near Nantes. “We’re excited to strengthen our offshore operations with the H145 to further support the renewable energy market,” said Giolitti.

The H145’s capabilities make it a preferred choice for offshore wind services. Baudoin Marraud des Grottes, Head of Sales Western Europe at Airbus, praised the model for its passenger and cargo capacity, superior hovering for hoisting, and reliability.

Airbus’s updated H145, featuring a new five-bladed rotor, offers an additional 150 kg of payload capacity and a simplified bearingless rotor design that enhances maintenance, reliability, and comfort. With over 1,700 H145 helicopters in operation worldwide and close to 8 million flight hours, this helicopter is powered by Safran Arriel 2E engines and includes FADEC and the Helionix digital avionics suite. Known for its low noise and minimal CO2 emissions, the H145 is both efficient and environmentally friendly, positioning it as the quietest and most sustainable in its category.
