He began his career in the forging industry in 2005 by joining his family business. Apart from his work in the industry, Munot is also involved in various sectors, including lifestyle products, health food, hospitality, and philanthropic efforts, such as supporting an orphanage and providing medical aid during the pandemic.

During his tenure at AIFI, Munot has played a key role in organizing major industry events like IFC 2011, Forgetech India 2016, Asia Forge 2019, and ForgeTech India 2023. Additionally, he served as Chairman of AIFI’s Western Region from 2018 to 2020. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Marketing from Regents Business School of London and a leadership certificate from London Business School. Munot is also a member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO).

In his new role, Munot expressed his excitement, stating, “I am honored to take on the role of President. The forging sector in India is at a crucial stage, with immense opportunities for growth and innovation. Our goal will be to foster collaboration within the industry, advance technological capabilities, and promote sustainable practices. I look forward to working with all stakeholders to strengthen our industry’s global standing.”

S. Ravishankar, who has been named Vice-President, shared his commitment to supporting the industry’s progress in an evolving global market. He emphasized the importance of enhancing competitiveness, driving innovation, and preparing members for future challenges.

Ravishankar is the Managing Director of Super Auto Forge Private Limited and has over 25 years of experience in the auto component manufacturing sector. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Annamalai University and a Master’s degree from The Ohio State University. After working in Detroit for two years, he joined Super Auto Forge in 1997. His leadership contributed significantly to the company’s international expansion, including the establishment of marketing offices in Detroit in 2001 and Belgium in 2011.

He has also served as Chairman of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, Tamil Nadu Branch, and is currently a member of the Southern Regional Committee of the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA). This new leadership aims to steer AIFI towards growth, technological advancement, and global competitiveness in the forging sector.
