AGI Greenpac, one of the packaging products companies in India, is ramping up its capabilities with a ₹230 crore investment aimed at enhancing production and strengthening its export capacities in the burgeoning global glass packaging market.
The investment will modernize existing furnaces, integrate advanced technologies, and optimize production processes. This strategic move is intended to meet increasing demand for high-quality glass packaging solutions both domestically and internationally.
AGI Greenpac is also expanding its footprint beyond India, eyeing opportunities in the Middle East and Europe. With a new export channel established in the USA, the company aims to capitalize on growing global demand for superior glass packaging solutions.
CEO Rajesh Khosla highlighted the significance of these investments, stating, “Enhancing our production capabilities ensures we meet demand for innovative, top-tier glass packaging solutions. This commitment not only strengthens our domestic operations but also positions us to explore new international markets.”
The company’s state-of-the-art specialty glass plant in Bhongir, Telangana, operational since January 2023, boasts a daily production capacity of 154 tonnes. It caters to diverse industries, including cosmetics, perfumery, and premium beverages, producing a wide array of clear glass bottles and jars using advanced Blow & Blow and Press & Blow technologies.
AGI Greenpac is home to India’s first glass packaging R&D Center, dedicated to sustainable solutions and pioneering technologies like energy-efficient multi-color cold foil stamping. The Decoration Unit offers extensive customization options through advanced processes such as ceramic, UV, and hot-foil stamping, catering to global brands in cosmetics, perfumery, and beverages.
