On March 24, 2025, S. Paramasivan, Managing Director of Afcons Infrastructure, took on the role of Chairman of the Project Export Promotion Council (PEPC) in New Delhi. Alongside him, A. R. Soni, EVP and Head of Corporate Affairs at L&T, was appointed as the new Vice Chairman. The PEPC, founded in 1984 by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, works to facilitate the growth of Indian project exports globally.
Mr Paramasivan, who previously served as the Vice Chairman of the PEPC from 2023 to 2025, expressed his excitement about this new role, emphasizing his commitment to strengthening India’s position in the international project export market. “I am honored to take on this responsibility and look forward to collaborating with all stakeholders to drive the growth of Indian project exports,” he said during the announcement.
The PEPC is a vital organization for Indian project exporters, providing coordination and support for overseas projects. It aligns with India’s Foreign Trade Policy and Reserve Bank of India guidelines, assisting Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors in both public and private sectors with technical guidance and export promotion efforts. This ensures the successful execution of projects beyond India’s borders.
