Aether Industries Ltd has announced the successful commissioning of its 15 MW solar power project, designed with Auto-Tracker Modules, for captive consumption. The project, developed in partnership with KPIG Energia Private Ltd., a subsidiary of KPI Green Energy Ltd., is now fully operational.
Located in Gujarat’s Bharuch district, the solar power installation is set to power Aether Industries’ manufacturing facilities. The company expects significant energy cost savings, estimated to exceed ₹15 crore annually, while also reducing its carbon footprint. This move is a part of Aether’s broader commitment to sustainability and renewable energy integration, marking a key milestone in the company’s strategy for eco-friendly growth.
The project employs advanced Auto-Tracker technology that optimises energy generation by adjusting to the sun’s movement, enhancing efficiency and ensuring steady power output throughout the day. This initiative aligns with Aether Industries’ environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals, reinforcing the company’s dedication to sustainable business practices.
In its most recent financial update, Aether Industries reported a 4.4% decrease in net profit for the September 2024 quarter, posting ₹35 crore compared to ₹36.6 crore in the same period the previous year. However, the company achieved strong revenue growth, which increased by 21.2%, reaching ₹198.7 crore from ₹164 crore in the previous year.
Additionally, Aether secured a three-year contract with Chemoxy International Ltd. in October 2024, to manufacture a range of natural bio-based products exclusively for Seqens, with production expected to exceed 100 metric tonnes annually.
