Bengaluru, India — Aereo, a pioneering Indian drone technology company, has been chosen by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to present its cutting-edge solutions at the Eighth Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors held in Egypt from September 25th to 26th, 2023. Aereo’s selection marks a historic milestone as the only Indian company and the first drone solutions provider to participate in this prestigious event.

The selection process for this showcase focused on startups that have made substantial strides in technology-enabled infrastructure development with a profound societal impact. Aereo, which originated as an incubate at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur in 2013, has carved out a distinctive niche over the past decade and now leads the end-to-end solutions segment. Their impressive track record includes mapping the largest geography in the world using drones in the state of Haryana in India, covering 27,000 sq. Kms. They have cumulatively mapped over 15 million acres of land, encompassing 45,000+ villages, and facilitating efficient development of large-scale infrastructure projects, ultimately impacting the lives of over 120 million people.
