AEM Secures Key Contracts from HAL and DRDO Labs

Applied Electro Magnetics Pvt. Ltd. (AEM), a leading MSME specializing in defense and railway solutions, has secured significant orders from various Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) laboratories, including the Instrument Research and Development Establishment (IRDE), Naval Science & Technological Laboratory (NSTL), and Defence Bio-Engineering & Electro Medical Laboratory (DEBEL). AEM has also received contracts from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), strengthening its position in the defense sector.

With its current order book exceeding INR 58 crore, AEM continues to supply top-tier Government and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) such as the Indian Air Force, Indian Railways, Bharat Electronics Limited, and Central Electronics Limited, in addition to prominent private companies like Tata Advanced Systems Limited and Alpha Design Technologies Limited. Established nearly 50 years ago, AEM faced financial difficulties, resulting in insolvency proceedings in 2017.

However, under new leadership from Directors Sharad Maheshwari and Dhruv Maheshwari, a resolution plan was approved by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in 2019, marking the beginning of the company’s successful turnaround. Since then, AEM has experienced consistent growth, both in revenue and profitability.

The company’s success is driven by a dedicated team of 110 professionals, including 35 engineers focused on research and development. With expertise drawn from prestigious institutions such as IITs and experience from organizations like Airbus Defence, DRDO, Mahindra Defence, and L&T Defence, AEM is expanding its workforce to meet increasing customer demand. “We are investing in top talent to continue delivering exceptional solutions,” said Dhruv Maheshwari, Director of AEM.
