Advait Energy Transitions Secures LOI for 50 MW Battery Storage Project in Gujarat

Advait Energy Transitions Ltd announced on Wednesday, January 8, the receipt of a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) for a 50 MW/500 MWh segment of the ambitious 500 MW/1000 MWh Standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Gujarat. This development marks a significant milestone in the advancement of energy storage solutions in the region.

As per the regulatory filing, the project falls under GUVNL’s Tariff-Based Global Competitive Bidding (Phase-IV) initiative, supported by Viability Gap Funding. Advait Energy Transitions will undertake the development of a 50 MW standalone BESS to bolster Gujarat’s power grid, enhancing its energy storage capacity and operational efficiency.
