Adani Wilmar Ltd. announced on Saturday that it has officially finalized its acquisition of a 67% equity stake in Omkar Chemical Industries Pvt. Ltd., according to its recent disclosure to the stock exchanges. This announcement follows the company’s earlier declaration of the acquisition last month.
The transaction, valued at Rs 56.25 crore, has now been completed with Adani Wilmar purchasing and subscribing to the equity shares of Omkar Chemical Industries Private Limited (OCIPL), a company based in Gujarat.
Omkar Chemical Industries, situated in Panoli, Gujarat, operates a manufacturing facility with a significant production capacity of approximately 20,000 metric tons of surfactants annually. These surfactants are integral to various products, including soaps, detergents, foaming agents, emulsifiers, and paints.
By acquiring a majority stake in OCIPL, Adani Wilmar is strategically enhancing its portfolio and expanding its capabilities in the chemical industry. The completion of this acquisition marks a significant milestone for Adani Wilmar, as it continues to strengthen its position in the market.
The deal not only broadens the company’s product range but also bolsters its production capabilities, thereby supporting its growth objectives and reinforcing its market presence.
