Adani Green Energy Subsidiary Signs Agreement to Supply 400 MW Solar Power to Uttar Pradesh Discom

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), through its wholly-owned step-down subsidiary Adani Green Energy Sixty Nine Ltd, has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) for the supply of 400 megawatts (MW) of solar power. Under the terms of the agreement, AGEL will supply solar power generated from a grid-connected photovoltaic project to be developed in Rajasthan. The power will be delivered at a tariff of ₹2.57 per kilowatt-hour (kWh), in line with current market competitiveness.

This agreement follows the company’s strong financial performance for the fiscal year 2024–25. AGEL recorded a 23% increase in power supply revenue, reaching ₹9,495 crore, compared to ₹7,735 crore in the previous year. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) rose by 22% to ₹8,818 crore, achieving a margin of 91.7%. Cash profits also grew by 22%, totaling ₹4,871 crore.

During the fiscal year, AGEL commissioned 3,309 MW of additional renewable capacity, resulting in a 30% increase in total operational capacity to 14.2 gigawatts (GW).
