Adani Green Energy Sees 45% Surge in Renewable Capacity, Reaches 15,816 MW in Q1

Adani Green Energy Ltd reported a 45% increase in its operational renewable energy capacity, reaching 15,816 megawatts (MW) during the April–June quarter, compared to 10,934 MW in the same period last year, according to a regulatory filing. The current capacity comprises 11,156 MW from solar, 1,986 MW from wind, and 2,674 MW from hybrid sources.

Renewable energy sales also grew significantly, rising 42% to 10,479 million units (MUs) from 7,356 MUs in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. During the quarter, the company fulfilled 31%—equivalent to 6,138 MUs—of its annual generation commitment of 19,667 MUs under existing power purchase agreements.

In terms of capacity additions, the firm commissioned 3,763 MW of solar, 585 MW of wind, and 534 MW of hybrid renewable energy. It also added 1.6 GW of new greenfield renewable capacity during the period.
