The inauguration of these complexes carries a deep significance, resonating with the commemoration of the Balakot airstrike ‘Operation Bandar’ on February 26, 2019. This event serves as a poignant tribute to Adani Defence and Aerospace’s unwavering dedication and patriotism in serving the nation.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of the Honourable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, along with the Chief of Army Staff, Gen Manoj Pande AVSM VSM SM ADC, GOC-in-C of Central Command, Lt Gen N. S. Raja Subramani PVSM AVSM SM VSM, and Master General of Sustenance, Lt Gen Amardeep Singh Aujla UYSM YSM SM VSM.
The ceremony was attended by senior dignitaries from the Ministry of Defence and the Uttar Pradesh Government. They commended Adani Defence & Aerospace’s initiatives and contributions in developing distinctive capabilities that fortify the state and the nation. Spanning over 500 acres, the Ammunition Complex is set to emerge as South Asia’s largest integrated ammunition manufacturing complex.
These complexes, backed by an investment surpassing INR 3,000 crores, are poised to generate more than 4,000 job opportunities. Their establishment is anticipated to trigger a significant multiplier effect on MSMEs and the surrounding local ecosystem, consequently leading to indirect benefits for a multitude of businesses and communities.
