Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) has officially begun construction of the Adani Logistics Park in Kalamassery, Kochi. The foundation stone will be laid by the Honourable Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan, under the state’s Invest in Kerala initiative.

This flagship development marks a major milestone in Kerala’s journey towards becoming a major logistics and industrial centre. Situated in one of the state’s key industrial corridors, the logistics park will cover over 70 acres and is designed to streamline cargo movement, reduce transport costs, and support just-in-time deliveries for sectors such as e-commerce, fast-moving consumer goods and durables, pharmaceuticals, automotive, and retail.

Equipped with electric vehicle charging infrastructure, digital tracking, and smart logistics solutions, the facility underscores a strong focus on sustainability and modernisation. The project involves an investment of over ₹600 crore and is expected to generate more than 1,500 jobs. It will also support skill development and promote opportunities for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the regional supply chain network.

Ashwani Gupta, Whole-Time Director & CEO of APSEZ, commented, “The Kalamassery Logistics Park is a vital step in our transition from a port operator to a fully integrated transport and logistics provider. This park will significantly boost our presence in southern India, enabling faster movement of goods and supporting local industries. Our commitment remains firmly rooted in building infrastructure that drives economic growth and connectivity across the nation.”

P Rajeeve, Kerala’s Minister for Law, Industries, and Coir, added, “This initiative reflects the vision of building sustainable, digitally enabled infrastructure that uplifts communities and powers trade. Beyond being a logistics park, it will serve as a growth engine for the region, connecting businesses to larger markets and fostering inclusive development.” The Kalamassery facility will offer an end-to-end digital interface for customers—from entry to invoicing—enabling touch-free operations, transparency, and real-time visibility throughout the logistics cycle.

Part of the diversified Adani Group, APSEZ has evolved into India’s leading integrated transport and logistics company, offering door-to-door cargo solutions. With a vast network of strategically located ports and terminals across India, the company handles close to 28% of the country’s port volumes.

Internationally, APSEZ operates key facilities including the Colombo transshipment port in Sri Lanka, Haifa Port in Israel, and a container terminal at Dar Es Salaam Port in Tanzania. The company’s integrated platform combines port operations, logistics services, marine fleet, multimodal logistics parks, warehousing, and industrial zones—placing it at the forefront of global supply chain transformation. APSEZ’s long-term ambition is to become the largest ports and logistics platform worldwide within the next decade.
