ACME Solar Holdings Ltd has achieved major milestones in its renewable energy initiatives. The company has obtained ₹1,988 crore in financing from Power Finance Corporation (PFC) for a 300 MW solar-wind hybrid project. This initiative combines solar power generation in Bikaner, Rajasthan, with wind energy production in Bhuj, Gujarat. With a power purchase agreement (PPA) signed with NTPC, grid connectivity in place, and land acquired for the solar segment, the project is slated to begin operations by June 2025.
In addition, ACME Solar has been awarded a 300 MW solar project under the SECI-ISTS XVIII scheme at a tariff of ₹3.05 per unit. To implement this, the company plans to reallocate resources from its ongoing ACME Sikar project in Rajasthan, utilizing existing grid infrastructure in Bikaner-2.
The SECI project benefits from an Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) fee waiver, available for renewable projects operational by mid-2025. Earlier this month, ACME Solar also won a 250 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project in an NHPC e-reverse auction at ₹4.56 per unit, demonstrating its expertise in managing renewable energy variability and delivering reliable power solutions.
