ACME Solar Holdings Ltd (ASHL) has successfully commissioned 90 MW of new solar capacity in Rajasthan, raising its total operational renewable energy capacity to 2,453 MW. The newly added capacity includes 62 MW from ACME Dhaulpur Powertech Private Ltd and 28 MW from ACME Raisar Solar Energy Private Ltd, both of which became fully operational on January 7, 2025.
These two plants, each with a total capacity of 300 MW, mark a significant milestone for ASHL. This achievement follows the company’s December 2024 announcement of 1,023.05 MW of commissioned solar projects in Rajasthan by its wholly-owned subsidiaries.
ACME Solar has also been advancing its hybrid renewable energy initiatives. In December 2024, the company secured ₹1,988 crore in financing from Power Finance Corporation (PFC) for a 300 MW solar-wind hybrid project. This project will combine solar power generation in Bikaner, Rajasthan, with wind energy production in Bhuj, Gujarat. With land acquisition complete, grid connectivity in place, and a power purchase agreement (PPA) signed with NTPC, the project is slated to begin operations by June 2025.
Additionally, ACME Solar recently secured a 300 MW solar project under the SECI-ISTS XVIII scheme at a tariff of ₹3.05 per unit. The company plans to utilize its under-construction ACME Sikar project in Rajasthan to fulfil this bid, taking advantage of the existing grid infrastructure in Bikaner-2. These developments highlight ACME Solar’s commitment to expanding India’s renewable energy capacity and achieving a sustainable energy future.
