ACME Solar Holdings Limited has successfully commissioned the initial 52.5 MW phase of its ACME Sikar Solar Power Project, located in Bikaner, Rajasthan. This marks the beginning of a 300 MW solar development that will be implemented in multiple phases.

With this addition, ACME Solar’s operational capacity has increased from 2,540 MW to 2,592.5 MW. The project site is situated in a region characterized by high solar irradiation, making it a strategically advantageous location for renewable energy generation. Upon full commissioning, the Sikar project is expected to significantly support India’s national renewable energy targets.

Covering an area of approximately 1,300 acres, the project is designed to transmit power to the Bikaner-II grid substation via a dedicated 220 kV transmission line. The development is financed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC) Limited and is projected to generate around 780 million units of renewable electricity annually once fully operational. Electricity produced by the plant will be sold on a merchant basis through power exchanges, with distribution managed to optimize commercial efficiency.

ACME Solar Holdings Limited operates as a fully integrated renewable energy company, with a total portfolio of 6,970 MW across solar, wind, firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE), and hybrid solutions. Following this latest commissioning, 2,592.5 MW of capacity is now operational, with 4,377.5 MW under various stages of implementation. The company oversees project development, engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and operations and maintenance (O&M) through internal teams.

ACME Solar generates stable, long-term cash flows by selling electricity to a range of offtakers, including government-backed entities, through long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) typically set at fixed tariff rates for 25 years. With in-house capabilities for EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and O&M (Operations and Maintenance), the company ensures tight control over processes, costs, and timelines, offering flexibility in technology and supplier choices.
