Acme Solar has successfully commissioned 1,023 MW of solar power projects in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer district, further strengthening its position as one of India’s leading renewable energy companies. The newly operational capacity includes four Inter State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected solar projects.
ACME Dhaulpur Powertech contributed 238 MW, ACME Deoghar Solar Power added 253 MW, ACME Phalodi Solar Energy commissioned 260.05 MW, and ACME Raisar Solar Energy activated 272 MW out of its planned 300 MW capacity. This milestone highlights Acme Solar’s growing role in India’s renewable energy sector and its commitment to sustainable energy solutions. The company is ranked among the top 10 renewable energy players in the country.
This project, operating at full capacity, will produce approximately 3,000 MUs of clean electricity annually, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 2.6 million tonnes each year. Strategically located in one of the country’s top solar irradiation zones, the project optimizes efficiency by leveraging shared infrastructure across its four 300 MW plants for power evacuation. Financed by PFC and REC, the project operates under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) at a competitive tariff of ₹2.44 per unit.
Nikhil Dhingra, CEO of ACME Solar Holdings Limited, celebrated this achievement, noting that it brings their total commissioned portfolio to 2,363 MW, with 65% tied to central government counterparties. Of this capacity, 1,773 MW is situated in Rajasthan’s high-irradiance zones. Dhingra expressed gratitude to stakeholders for their support and highlighted the milestone as a testament to the team’s engineering excellence. Looking ahead, ACME Solar aims to expand its presence in Rajasthan with upcoming CTU-connected solar, FDRE, and hybrid plants, utilizing existing connectivity and executed PPAs with central entities.
