ACMA Concludes 9th iAutoConnect-Highlighting Global Expansion Opportunities for Indian Auto Components

The 9th edition of iAutoConnect, organized by the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), concluded at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. The event, supported by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, was inaugurated by Vimal Anand, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, alongside Ms. Shradha Suri Marwah, President of ACMA and CMD of Subros. Both leaders emphasized the government’s commitment to boosting India’s position in the global auto component market.

Over two days, iAutoConnect provided a valuable platform for Indian auto component manufacturers to showcase their products to international aftermarket distributors and dealers. This year’s event featured 91 exhibitors from India and attracted over 170 buyers from more than 40 countries, including regions like Africa, ASEAN, Eastern Europe, Latin America, SAARC, and West Asia.

The event allowed global buyers to evaluate the advanced manufacturing capabilities, technological innovations, and competitive advantages of India’s auto component industry. Ms. Shradha Suri Marwah highlighted iAutoConnect’s role as a key enabler for the Indian automotive sector to access international markets. She expressed confidence that the event would foster partnerships that would further expand the global presence of Indian-made components, supporting the “Make in India for the world” vision.

Founded in 1959, the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) is the leading organization representing India’s auto component industry. With over 800 members, ACMA plays a central role in aligning manufacturers, distributors, and exporters with industry standards, technological advancements, and regulatory frameworks, serving both domestic and international markets.

ACMA’s activities focus on policy advocacy, technology support, and market development, aiming to enhance the competitiveness of the sector globally. It works closely with government agencies to shape policies that promote innovation and growth in the automotive component industry. ACMA also organizes trade shows, conferences, and events like iAutoConnect, which facilitate partnerships between Indian manufacturers and global buyers.
