ACES India Private Limited, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia-based Advanced Communications and Electronics Systems Company (ACES), has entered into a long-term agreement with Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) to deploy modern telecommunications infrastructure across the Namma Metro system. The initiative aims to provide consistent, high-speed 4G and 5G mobile connectivity throughout both elevated and underground metro sections, enhancing the travel experience for more than 300 million annual passengers.
The project will adopt a neutral host model—an approach that enables multiple mobile network providers to share a single, integrated infrastructure. This method reduces the need for duplicate equipment, lowers operational costs, and ensures faster network rollouts without compromising service quality.
Maheshwar Rao M, Managing Director of BMRCL, said: “This collaboration marks another move toward smarter public transport. The shared infrastructure will simplify network access for operators, speed up deployment of mobile services, and provide uninterrupted coverage for commuters across all metro corridors.”
Dr Akram Aburas, Group CEO of ACES, noted, “India plays a key role in our international plans. This collaboration strengthens our commitment to helping cities build reliable and future-oriented telecom networks that support everyday life and long-term development.”
Mohammed N Mazher, Managing Director of ACES India, added, “This agreement represents a major milestone for our operations in India. We are pleased to support Bangalore’s growing transit system with a communication framework designed for the future.”
The 13-year agreement, with an option to extend for two additional years, aligns with India’s broader goals for improved digital infrastructure and smart urban transport systems. By integrating connectivity into public transit, the project contributes to the ongoing push for a more digitally inclusive society.
ACES India continues to grow its presence in the country’s urban transport sector. Beyond the Namma Metro project, the company is also working on major telecom infrastructure initiatives at Bangalore International Airport, Mumbai Metro Line 3, Noida International Airport, Surat Diamond Bourse, Kanpur Metro, and Agra Metro—further cementing its role in shaping next-generation connectivity in India’s cities.
