Abhyuday Jindal Takes Over as President of Indian Chamber of Commerce

Abhyuday Jindal, Managing Director of Jindal Stainless, has been appointed as the new president of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC). He takes over from Ameya Prabhu, Managing Director of NAFA Capital, whose term ended on October 18, the chamber announced on Saturday.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal attended the event, welcoming Jindal’s leadership. He emphasized the importance of young leaders in driving India’s future growth and urged the ICC to strengthen its support for startups, women entrepreneurs, and skill development. Goyal also encouraged the chamber to promote India as a global tourism destination, connecting local talent to international markets.

In his speech, Goyal spoke about the collaborative potential between industry and government to unlock opportunities for India’s emerging middle class and improve living standards for those below the poverty line. He called for a collective national effort to achieve the shared goal of a prosperous India.

Abhyuday Jindal outlined his vision for ICC, emphasizing the chamber’s role in fostering economic growth and innovation. He expressed his commitment to promoting sustainable business practices and advocating for policies that empower Indian industries globally, with a goal of helping India become a USD 35 trillion economy by 2047.

Jindal, a Boston University graduate with expertise in Economics and Business Management, brings a wealth of experience in project management, supply chain optimization, and strategic leadership. Under his leadership, Jindal Stainless has achieved significant improvements in operational efficiencies and sustainability efforts. His belief in Aatmanirbhar Bharat and community development will guide his tenure at the ICC.

The event also featured a conversation with Antonio Bartoli, Italy’s Ambassador to India, who highlighted the need for stronger India-Italy relations and international cooperation to address global trade challenges. Established in 1925, the Indian Chamber of Commerce is a leading national chamber that engages with both central and state governments on policy and industry issues.
