At the CIIE 2024, ABB introduced its newly enhanced pressure transmitter portfolio, designed to deliver precise, high-performance measurements for a range of industrial and utility applications. This innovation is set to aid plants in optimizing process control and boosting energy efficiency.
With integrated digital features, the new transmitters also support the digital transformation of power and process industries. The updated lineup includes the P-100, P-300, and P-500 series, designed to meet the diverse requirements across multiple industries, simplifying the selection process for customers.

The P-500 series, the most advanced in the range, delivers exceptional accuracy and is suitable for high-demand industries such as chemicals, oil & gas, hydrogen, and glass. The P-500 improves measurement accuracy from 0.035% to 0.02% of the calibrated range and offers static pressure precision of up to 0.04%, enabling ultra-precise process control.
This precision aids in optimizing energy consumption and raw material usage. The P-500 series also incorporates cutting-edge digital features, including QR codes for advanced operational features, Bluetooth for programming and updates, and RFID and Auto ID for full digital integration.
Additionally, it supports advanced communication protocols like Ethernet-APL and features a backlit Smart & Touch HMI. Innovative technologies like Diaflex and H-Shield are part of the new portfolio. Diaflex protects against abrasive slurries, commonly found in many industries, while H-Shield offers superior resistance to hydrogen, enhancing the longevity and reliability of the pressure transmitters.
The P-Series also comes with an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), providing transparency on the product’s environmental impact, from resource extraction to disposal.
