ABB has announced its agreement to acquire the Födisch Group, a prominent developer of measurement and analytical solutions for the energy and industrial sectors. This acquisition will enhance ABB’s capabilities in continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS), strengthening its competitive edge in technology and innovation.
The Födisch Group, which generated approximately €50 million in revenue and employs around 250 people, will expand ABB’s portfolio to address complex measurement challenges faced by its customers. The deal is expected to close by the end of the year, pending customary approvals.
Based in Markranstädt, Germany, with additional facilities in Germany, the Netherlands, and China, Födisch Group specializes in solutions for monitoring environmental impacts across industries such as power generation, waste management, and manufacturing. Their advanced analyzers and dust measurement systems allow companies to efficiently monitor pollutant emissions.
The acquisition will complement existing measurement and analytics offerings by adding Födisch Group’s continuous gas analyzers and dust measurement technologies. It’s global network will support the expanded product range, offering customers enhanced tools to tackle energy and sustainability challenges.
