ABB’s 10,000-square-meter integration facility in Dammam has completed three years of operations, marking a key milestone in supporting Saudi Arabia’s energy and industrial projects. Since its launch, the facility has been delivering locally engineered and manufactured gas analyzer integration systems for natural gas liquid plants, mixed-feed crackers, and processing facilities across the Kingdom.
The Dammam site provides fully integrated, customized analyzer systems that enable precise measurement of process gases and liquids, ensuring real-time monitoring of production streams and emissions. These solutions enhance the safety, reliability, and efficiency of operations in critical energy infrastructure.
“ABB’s work supports the Kingdom’s vision to boost industrial capacity, optimize hydrocarbon processing, and expand local production,” said Ahmed Awadalla, Analyzer System Integration Manager, Middle East & Africa, ABB Measurement & Analytics. “In just three years, we have contributed to several major energy projects with systems designed and built locally.”Among its recent projects, ABB has supplied analyzer systems for a mixed-feed cracker that produces ethylene, a vital petrochemical raw material, and for an unconventional gas field where robust real-time monitoring ensures efficiency and performance.
ABB has been providing customized industrial process and gas analyzer systems for more than four decades to some of the largest energy projects worldwide, from the Arabian Gulf to the U.S. Gulf Coast. Alongside Dammam, the company operates integration facilities in Houston, Bengaluru, and Shanghai. The Saudi facility also houses production and assembly lines for pressure and temperature transmitters.
ABB is a global leader in electrification and automation, combining engineering and digital expertise to help industries achieve higher performance, efficiency, and sustainability. With around 110,000 employees worldwide and a history of more than 140 years, ABB continues to support critical sectors through innovation and technology leadership.
