AB Cotspin India Ltd, a prominent textile manufacturer, announced on Thursday that it has successfully secured a Rs 7.50 crore order for the supply of 300 metric tons of premium cotton yarn. The company emphasized that this deal reflects the growing demand for its high-quality products in both domestic and international markets.
While the specific customer behind the order was not disclosed, the company highlighted the significance of the deal in reinforcing its reputation for exceptional product quality, reliable delivery, and customer loyalty. “This order is a testament to our commitment to excellence and strengthens our position as a trusted partner in the textile sector,” said Deepak Garg, Managing Director of AB Cotspin India.
The company is also focused on sustainability, integrating recycling into its core operations. AB Cotspin utilizes both pre-consumer (spinning and yarn waste) and post-consumer (used garments, upholstery) recycled cotton to produce a variety of yarns and textiles. This aligns with Global Recycling Standards (GRS) and plays a crucial role in minimizing waste and reducing the environmental impact, particularly in the dyeing process.
“Our unique recycling approach involves creating colored yarns directly from waste materials, eliminating the need for conventional dyeing processes. This not only lowers our environmental footprint but also broadens our product offerings with a sustainable focus,” Garg added.
As part of its commitment to environmental responsibility, AB Cotspin has recently expanded its solar energy capacity by adding 300 KW, bringing its total solar power generation to 2,800 KW. Additionally, a further 331 KW of solar capacity is under installation and is expected to be operational by January 2025.
