On the eve of 23rd July, Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik is going to welcome 14 new projects in various sectors, across 6 districts in Odisha. The step is going to be in the 12th phase of the Inaugration and Ground-Breaking of industrial projects. The event will be fascinating with the presence of various dignitaries from the Central and State Ministries.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Odisha is now essaying a new chapter in the history of global manufacturing. In a consistent and sustainable way for the last couple of decades, Odisha is building its manufacturing base through strategic industrial policies aligning with the natural resources the state is blessed with.

With the vision of the Chief Minister, the Industries Minister, entire government machinery from Principal Secretary of Industries, Industries Director, IPICOL, etc are working towards the development of the state, and forging constructive associations with many leading industries within India and abroad. While addressing the delegates of World MSME Day Virtual Conference organized by Machine Maker last month, Industries, MSME, & Energy Minister of Odisha Captain Dibya Shankar Mishra said that Odisha offers the most competitive energy charges for industries, and invited industrialists to come and set up their facilities in the state.
The activities of setting up new manufacturing in Odisha moves faster from paper, and in its 12th phase on 23rd July, Odisha will be inaugurating 3 new projects, 11 groundbreaking ceremonies. The companies whose projects are to be inaugurated include Aditya Birla Renewables Ltd., Bolangir and Runaya Refining LLP, Jharsugada. The third one to be inaugurated is Wild Lotus Fashions Pvt. Ltd., Khordha.
Besides the above, there will be groundbreaking of new manufacturing companies setting up their facilities in the state. NRI Entrepreneur Niren Kumar Anand, Managing Director of Evertrade, China is setting up his Make In India Sports Shoe Manufacturing facility at Khordha. “It is just the first step and we foresee to make Orissa a Global Sports Manufacturing Hub”, says Niren Anand.

Niren who recently launched his global EVER Brand Shoes expressed his hearty gratitude to Naveen Patnaik, Odisha Chief Minister, Captain Dibya Shankar Mishra, Odisha Industry, Energy and MSME Minister, Nitin Jawale, Managing Director, IPICOL, and Raja Singh Khurana of Invest India for the support extended to get this project set up in Odisha, even in the time of the pandemic. He adds, “We are looking for two-way cooperation, from the government to us from our side to the government to foster better business and investment opportunities. We are already planning to get the most advanced machines and will be bringing the technology transfer from China to India.”
Several other companies, whose Ground-breaking is going to take place are Arnab Care & Food, Cuttack, Astral Polytechnic Ltd., Khordha, Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative (IFFCO) Ltd., Jagatsinghpur, Jay Bharat Spices Pvt. Ltd., Cuttack, KAI International Pvt. Ltd., Sudergarh; Pratishtha Ventures, Cuttack; Printtech Offset (p) Ltd., Khordha; Renewal Envirogic (P) Ltd., Cuttack and Supreme Industries Ltd., Cuttack.
It is also noted that preceding the 12th phase, which is going to be executed today, there are 5 inaugurations and 17 Ground-breaking of various industrial projects. According to the reports, the Odisha government is stepping ahead to make Odisha the manufacturing hub of South Asia.
Previous stats have shown that the inaugurations and groundbreakings have provided employment opportunities to more than 9000 people. The upcoming inauguration/ groundbreaking event will further propel the state’s industrial development. The event of 23 July is going to be a watershed in Odisha’s Industrialisation journey.
