In the current troubled times, each one of us is going through a tough time, where we look out for support outside of us. This is mainly because of the fact that we are frightened from inside, owing to the surroundings we are living in, where every news coming to us from any medium is negative and dejecting. But, like they say every cloud has a silver lining, a small re-affirmation from anyone, gets us a ray of hope and reassurance. We look forward to this re-affirmative element in every project/incident that we are a part of.
For us to get a re-affirmation, it is equally important that we give a re-affirmation when an opportune moment comes to us. This has to be an initiative from our side if required, taken out of the way. An act of good returns to you with an act better than good. Unless we sow re-affirmation, we cannot reap it.
In our day to day activity, we all should look for opportunities where we could add value by giving re-affirmations based on our expertise and wisdom. This may not occur to us to step in unless we consciously decide to do so. It is not easy and usual. It needs somebody to dare and involve, to be aligned to this thought process. It calls for an investment of time, without an expectation of anything in return – this is one of the largest sacrifices that we have to do.
Re-affirmation leads to action, which in turn leads to results. Hence, all of us ideally seek re-affirmations which would eventually lead to positive results. However, seldom we pay conscious attention to improving the quality of re-affirmations that we may receive, although it has a large role to be played by us.
Often, we will have people enquiring about the reason and logic behind this act. Hence, it is a tough path to tread. It calls for a mindset and a culture to be imbibed in ourselves wherein we could refrain from posing such questions before stepping in to do some good. Each one of us has some areas of expertise based on the field of our work, and we are bound to be smarter than many, in this area, given the fact, that this could be our passion or our source of livelihood, etc.
All of us also form a virtual circle of influence, based on the environment we live in. Usually, this is the forum from which we seek the re-affirmations that would enable us to proceed with our decision making. Hence, it is always important to constantly upgrade and grow this circle of influence, by networking and collaborating. This will not only enhance our forum but also enable the quality of re-affirmation to be improved making it more accurate and appropriate for the purpose.
A resolve to work on improving the factors which will enable our circle of influence to grow and help feed the right inputs to the crop of re-affirmation, thereby allowing us to harvest richer cultivation.
