By stepping into the role of an EPC contractor, Hartek was able to provide comprehensive solutions for power infrastructure, ranging from 33 KV to 765 KV substations. The following decade saw a significant increase in orders, with the company sometimes receiving daily requests for new projects. Hartek catered to a diverse clientele, including small, medium, and large enterprises, solidifying its position as a key player in the power sector.
As the power sector evolved, so did Hartek Group. In 2010, the focus began shifting towards renewable energy systems. Hartek Group quickly adapted to this trend, launching Hartek Solar, a division dedicated to renewable energy projects. The commitment to sustainability and decarbonisation is at the forefront of this renewables business. With over 7 GW of solar grid connectivity successfully executed, Hartek Solar play a pivotal role in India’s clean power transition. The renewables projects executed by Hartek Solar not only contribute significantly to reducing carbon emissions but also support the country’s ambitious renewable energy targets. By leveraging cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions, this group is enabling efficient and reliable integration of solar power into the grid, underscoring the dedication to fostering a sustainable and greener future for India.
In addition to its EPC services, Hartek Group ventured into manufacturing by establishing its own unit for backward integration. This facility produces panels and other components used in power stations, further enhancing the company’s ability to deliver end-to-end solutions. Today, Hartek Group operates across 20 states in India, with a portfolio of 350 projects, including the noteworthy Floating Solar Project in the Northeast.
Throughout its growth and diversification, one principle has remained central to Hartek Group’s vision – the commitment to ‘Seva’ in the name of Waheguru. Northern and Western India are known for their harsh summer conditions, with temperatures often soaring above 50 degrees Celsius. In response to this, Hartek Group has undertaken initiatives to provide relief to those affected by the extreme heat. This year, the company organized ‘Shabeel’ (distribution of sweet cold water) and constructed small shelters in Mohali and surrounding regions, offering respite to people in the scorching weather. The initiative is deeply rooted in the tradition of the Sikh community, where Shabeel is distributed during the martyrdom day of Guru Arjun Dev Ji, the fifth Sikh Guru.
The Hartek Foundation spearheads this noble effort, with employees volunteering to participate in the Seva. The initiative extends across different parts of Mohali for seven days, providing much-needed relief to the local population.
