In April 2024, Bharat Fritz Werner Limited (BFW) inaugurated what is now recognized as India’s largest facility for machine building – the BFW Thally Plant. Fast forward to the present, and BFW is marking another significant achievement: the completion and delivery of the 1000th machine from this cutting-edge, digitally-connected facility. Achieving such a feat within just nine months of operation highlights BFW’s commitment to excellence and efficiency in manufacturing.
This landmark machine, a Vertical Machining Center (VMC), was delivered to a longstanding customer, enhancing their manufacturing capabilities. The final setup of the machine was completed through BFW’s innovative IRIS digital portal, a platform that showcases the company’s digital transformation initiatives. The customer, who has been associated with the manufacturing tool division (MTD) for over two decades, expressed immense pride in being the recipient of the 1000th machine, which also represents their first VMC acquisition from BFW.
Ms Ranjitha, a representative from the customer’s side, shared her enthusiasm about the new addition to their manufacturing line: “We have been in this industry for 20 years, and this is our first VMC. We are thrilled and proud to have purchased our VMC from BFW, and we look forward to mutual growth in the near future.” Mr Raghunath, another key figure from the customer’s team, added, “Having been in MTD for the last 20 years, I am delighted to receive our first VMC, especially as BFW’s 1,000th machine.”
The milestone machine is equipped with a state-of-the-art Mitsubishi controller, and the event was further celebrated with representatives from Mitsubishi, acknowledging their crucial role in this achievement. BFW extends its gratitude to all partners and the Mitsubishi team for their support in reaching this milestone.
