Amison Engineering Celebrates 5 Years of Innovation and Growth in Design-to-Manufacturing Solutions

Amit Aware - Founder and Director of Amison Engineering

Amison Engineering, a rising name in India’s advanced manufacturing sector, proudly celebrates five successful years of innovation, dedication, and impact. Founded on May 27, 2020, by mechanical engineer Mr Amit Aware, the company has grown from a one-desk startup into a reputable solution provider, catering to major industries such as aerospace, aviation, and automotive.

With over a decade of experience at Renishaw, a UK-based MNC where he served as Southeast Asia Service Support Manager, Mr. Aware had firsthand exposure to cutting-edge technologies and global industry practices. While traveling across countries during his tenure, he identified a common gap in India — a slower adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies like 3D printing, despite Indian engineers’ strong technical knowledge.

This observation sowed the seed of Amison Engineering. “The thought came to my mind — why can’t we help industries in India adopt these advanced technologies? That’s how the spark came, and I founded Amison Engineering,” says Mr Aware.

From a Home Office to a Tech-Driven Team

Starting with just a table and two chairs in his home, Mr. Aware began Amison Engineering with the ambition to bring end-to-end engineering solutions under one roof. From CAD modeling to FEA/CFD simulations, and fabrication using conventional or additive manufacturing techniques, Amison Engineering offers a comprehensive service that simplifies and streamlines the product development process for clients.

Unlike typical service providers, Amison operates more like a development partner, working closely with clients at every stage — design, simulation, manufacturing technology selection, and final production. The company’s strength lies in its ability to customize the journey of every project, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.

Driving Change Through Technology Education and Support

A key mission of Amison Engineering has been to educate the Indian manufacturing ecosystem about Additive Manufacturing (AM). “3D printing is not magic — you can’t just send a CAD model and expect a perfect part. It requires deep knowledge of materials, design for AM, support structures, and post-processing,” Mr Aware explains.

His own experience with both conventional and modern manufacturing techniques has shaped Amison’s unique approach. The team is trained to evaluate the feasibility of each project by comparing conventional and additive methods, guiding clients to make the most practical and innovative decisions.

Case Study: Generative Design in Action

One of Amison’s recent highlights includes a project involving the Generative Design of a Butterfly Bracket. Originally manufactured using pressure die casting, the part was redesigned using DfAM (Design for Additive Manufacturing) principles and 3D printed using IN718 alloy. The result? A highly optimized design and a cost reduction of over 18% for manufacturing 500 components.

By using Renishaw’s advanced 3D printing systems, Amison Engineering not only enhanced part strength and accuracy but also implemented nondestructive testing and metrological inspections to ensure the highest quality — proving the capability of AM in real-world applications.

The Human Factor Behind the Success

Reflecting on the journey, Aware emphasizes that Amison’s achievements are not his alone. “It’s not just my effort. It’s because of my customers who trusted us and my team — my family — who stood by me through every challenge. They are responsible for our success.”

Today, Amison Engineering stands as a symbol of India’s potential in high-tech manufacturing, combining engineering passion with practical industry insights. The company’s client-centric approach, backed by technical excellence, has earned it trust in sectors like aerospace, chemical processing, and even parts of the automotive industry, where 3D printing is gradually finding its ground.

As Amison Engineering completes its 5-year milestone, the company is preparing for a future driven by sustainable engineering practices, innovation, and continued contributions to India’s technological advancement. With a strong foundation, loyal clientele, and a committed team, Amison is well-positioned to grow further — not just as a service provider, but as a thought leader in manufacturing transformation.

In an era where technological evolution is rapid and essential, Amison Engineering continues to prove that with the right blend of knowledge, passion, and purpose, even a modest startup can make a profound impact on the industry.
