Oilmax Systems Pvt Ltd was established in 2010 by Ashutosh Gokhale, the Founder and Managing Director and a first-generation entrepreneur, the company has steadily built a reputation for delivering cutting-edge, cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable filtration solutions across various industries, including manufacturing, marine, and mining.
Mr Gokhale brings with him an extensive background of over 14 years in the industry. Having worked with renowned companies such as Lucas TVS, Kirloskar Filters, and Denso India, his journey into entrepreneurship was driven by the discovery of an innovative product—an imported oil separator for diesel engine applications. Recognizing its potential in oil filtration, he began importing and installing these systems in construction and mining equipment and generator sets.
As the effectiveness of this technology became evident, Mr Gokhale saw an opportunity to expand its application beyond engine oil cleaning. This led to the development of solutions for various industrial processes, including quenching oil filtration. Driven by customer feedback and industry demands, Oilmax gradually diversified its offerings, introducing a range of products designed to enhance oil and coolant management in machining, wire drawing, honing, hydraulic oil, pyrolysis oil, cold forming, Gear Oil and other industrial processes.

“Our machines are designed to work in parallel with existing industrial equipment, continuously cleaning oil and coolant to extend their lifespan, reduce waste, and improve manufacturing quality,” shares Mr Gokhale. Launching a business as a first-generation entrepreneur comes with its share of challenges. When Mr Gokhale founded Oilmax in 2010, he had already gained experience running AutoWin Systems, a company he established in 1995. However, shifting focus from engine applications to industrial filtration required extensive market research and customer outreach.
“In the early days, communication was a major challenge. We didn’t have mobile phones or email like today. We relied on fax machines and posted letters to reach potential clients,” he shares. Despite these hurdles, the company managed to establish itself in the competitive filtration market, starting with a modest turnover of INR 3 lakhs in its first year. Today, Oilmax has scaled significantly, expecting to cross INR 35 crores in revenue this year. With a strong commitment to sustainability and the ‘Make in India’ initiative, Oilmax exports its products globally, catering to markets in the UK, USA, UAE, Germany, Turkey, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Cyprus etc.
Mr Gokhale states that “Most of our employees have been with us since the inception of Oilmax, and their dedication has been the driving force behind our growth. Their deep understanding of our products, processes, and customer needs has enabled us to innovate and expand consistently. Every milestone we have achieved is a testament to the collective efforts of our team—be it in production, sales, design, or support. Their commitment, teamwork, and passion for excellence have not only helped us set new benchmarks but also strengthened our position in the industry. It is this strong foundation of teamwork and perseverance that continues to propel Oilmax forward.”

By maintaining a consistent presence in these regions and engaging directly with clients, Oilmax has successfully built a strong export base.
“In the initial phase, we visited Singapore regularly to meet clients and understand their needs. This hands-on approach has helped us expand our international footprint,” explains Mr Gokhale. Looking ahead, the company plans to strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia and explore additional markets in Europe and the Middle East, particularly in marine applications. As a proud advocate of the ‘Make in India’ initiative, Oilmax Systems manufactures nearly all its products domestically, with minimal dependency on imports.
