Diversifying into New Horizons
In 2015, Darshan Doshi, son of the founder, joined the family business after gaining valuable industry experience at Blue Star, a leading air conditioning manufacturer. Recognizing the potential for diversification and leveraging his engineering background, Darshan established Hi-Tech Engineering in 2018. This new venture aimed to explore opportunities in various sectors using similar machinery, labor, and space resources.

Expanding Product Range
Hi-Tech Engineering quickly made its mark by manufacturing precision components for several industries, including automotive, electronics, semiconductors, and medical equipment. The company specializes in producing orthopedic screws, bone drilling machines, and parts for electric vehicles (EVs). One of their notable products is the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) device used in hair transplant procedures, showcasing their ability to cater to niche markets.
“Our focus is on creating high-quality, customized components that meet the specific needs of our clients, even if it means venturing into uncharted territory,” Darshan emphasizes.
A significant factor contributing to the success of Hi-Tech Engineering is the adoption of advanced machinery. The company has invested in state-of-the-art 5-axis CNC machines, which enable them to perform multiple operations with high precision and efficiency. This technology ensures superior accuracy and finishing, setting their products apart from competitors who rely on conventional 2-axis machines.
“The 5-axis CNC machines allow us to maintain high productivity while delivering impeccable quality. This gives us a competitive edge in the market,” explains Darshan.

Future Plans: Assembly and Beyond
Looking ahead, Hi-Tech Engineering aims to further enhance its capabilities by venturing into complete assembly manufacturing. Darshan plans to produce entire assemblies, such as sprinklers, within their facility. This move is expected to streamline production processes, improve quality control, and increase profitability.
“Our goal is to offer comprehensive solutions by manufacturing entire assemblies in-house, providing our clients with greater value and reliability,” shares Darshan.
