IDEC Controls India, a subsidiary of IDEC Corporation Japan, is ready to participate in LogiMAT INDIA 2024, organized by Messe Stuttgart India. The event, scheduled from 28th February to 1st March at Greater Noida, will witness IDEC Controls India showcasing its diverse range of products and solutions in the industrial automation sector and warehousing solutions.

IDEC Controls India Private Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of IDEC Corporation Japan, has been a global player for nearly 80 years. Specializing in manufacturing and sales of industrial switches, safety devices, and automation products, IDEC Controls India has been active in the Indian market since 20 years and decided to establish its own sales entity in India in early 2020. IDEC Controls India has positioned itself as a B2B organisation, catering to various industries with a range of industrial products.

Establishing its presence in Bangalore, IDEC Controls India has set up its office and a warehouse facility, effectively importing products from global locations to meet the demands of the Indian market. The company’s primary goal has been to enhance customer accessibility, leading to an approach to distribution and future plans for localization. While currently, all products are imported, the company visualizes potential expansion and localization as it grows within the Indian market.

The decision to participate in LOGIMAT INDIA 2024 holds value for IDEC Controls India. With a focus on robotics and the growing importance of AGV (Automated Guided Vehicles) and AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robots) in the Indian market, IDEC aims to use this platform to showcase its offerings. With unique products and solutions for the intralogistics and AGV/AMR segment, IDEC India has positioned itself to be one of the key solution provider for this industry. LogiMAT INDIA, being a major expo in the logistics, intralogistics and warehousing industry, aligns perfectly with IDEC’s vision to contribute to the growing landscape of industrial automation in the country.

Shashishekar Jayaraman, the Director and General Manager of IDEC Controls India, highlighted the ideal shift in the Indian automation sector. The post-COVID era has witnessed not only major players like Amazon, Flipkart, and Reliance investing heavily in automation but also smaller and medium-sized enterprises embracing the trend. This shift is particularly obvious in logistics and intra-logistics, where automation has become a necessity, driven by the exponential growth of the e-commerce sector and the need for efficient warehouse operations.

As Mr Jayaraman explained, the growth in the logistics and intra-logistics sector is just the beginning. The growth in global investments, especially in areas like semiconductors, indicates a broader automation trend that will extend to various industries beyond logistics. He highlighted that the retail sector’s growth, combined with automation demands from traditional industries such as automotive and FMCG, positions IDEC Controls India at the front of providing solutions in this developing industry.

Participating at LogiMAT INDIA provides IDEC Controls India with an opportunity to exhibit recently launched and upcoming products. The focus will be on advanced sensing technologies and solutions customised for the logistics and warehouse automation space. IDEC India aims to demonstrate its capabilities not only to established customers but also to start-ups entering the automation domain. The focus is on offering complete solutions, combining products and expertise to simplify the automation journey for businesses.

While reflecting on the company’s journey in India, Mr Jayaraman hinted at IDEC Controls India’s continuous analysis of strategies. The focus remains on serving customers with the best products, pricing, and service. While the current priority is on building brand awareness and customer trust, IDEC Controls envisions India as a potential global growth centre. Future plans may include investments in India-centric initiatives and eventually positioning India as a hub for IDEC’s global operations.
