To match the growing requirements of surgical devices at a more convenient price point and making it cost-effective, Portescap has come up with 15 motors representing SM series of surgical motors. The new series thus hold Portescap market position of leading sterilizable design approach and surgical application expertise to offer a cost-effective and genuine solution for surgical device makers.
New SM motors are designed for the best fit in Powered Staplers, Large and Small Bone Orthopedic Tools, Arthroscopic Shavers, ENT Microdebriders and High-Speed Neuro Drill applications. In addition, these motors can be accommodated in traditional surgical tools and for robotically assisted surgical devices and can be paired with a Portescap sterilizable controller for battery-powered applications.
Portescap has been in the field for decades and is an expert in producing broadest miniature and specialty motor products in the industry, encompassing coreless brush DC, brushless DC, stepper can stack, gearheads, digital linear actuators and disc magnet technologies. The design of motors ensures its cost-effectiveness and available in the range of 0.5-1.23 inches in diameter, speeds up to 97k rpm and torque up to 17.5 oz-in.
