Mahindra Electric has launched an electric 3-wheeler TREO targeting the last mile cargo delivery space. Treo Zor offers savings over ₹60,000 per year as compared to diesel-based three-wheeler fleet in the category. Mahindra TREO ZOR has been priced at a range of 2.73 lakh onwards and will be available from December 2020. The 3 wheeler comes equipped with best-in-industry power of 8 kW, best-in-class torque of 42 Nm & highest-in-class payload of 550 kg.
According to Mahesh Babu, Managing Director and CEO, Mahindra Electric, the proven Treo electric 3-wheeler platform has already seen more than 5,000 satisfied customers who have traversed 35 million km on Indian roads. “TREO Zor will revolutionize last-mile delivery. With the best-in-class tray-loading height of 675 mm, the vehicle is available in three variants Pick-up, Delivery Van, and Flat Bed. Mahindra Treo Zor has a digital instrument console, telematics unit with GPS, hazard indicator, reverse buzzer, and a 12-Volt socket. The Treo Zor is powered by a lithium-ion battery and electric motor capable of generating 11 bhp with 42 Nm of peak torque.
Mahindra Electric’s TREO ZOR electric three-wheeler offers a claimed driving range of 125 km/charge and gets two driving modes — Eco and Boost. Treo's battery can be charged by a 15 Ampere conventional socket and the battery pack is available with a warranty period of over 1.5 lakh km. There will also be the provision of cloud-based connectivity to the users to remotely monitor vehicle range, speed, location, and much more.
